My Next 10 Years

Most kids know exactly what they want to be when they grew-up, I didn’t. For some reason I wanted to be everything. I was passionate about so many things as a kid, I just wanted to do everything. Although this was an attribute since I got to try a lot of different things at an early age, it was also frustrating. it was important for me to know exactly what I would be doing as an adult.

Although I have been an athlete since a child and loved to workout I never thought that I would be making my living as a coach. Now that I look back, it makes sense that I did. I have been coaching tennis since the age of 12. It started off as a little side hustle but it continued to grow into a small business that ultimately lead me to become the first assistant strength and conditioning coach at Washington College (WC).

During my time at WC I was fortunate enough that I was able to go back to school and earn my masters degree in psychology. My love affair for psychology started at a young. From my memory, I always liked building, creating and learning and I was always stuck on why I thought what I thought. I was also interested in why people did what they did (for better or for worst).

Performance coaching has become the perfect sandbox for me to combine my curiosities in optimizing human physical and mental performance.

Although coaching may be something I always do, I am finding my work and curiosities shift away from physical performance and more toward mental performance.

As I continue to do learn and do everything I can for my clients and consulting opportunities I find my free time filled with psychology. The result is dedicating my late nights and weekends to trying to help solve the problem around stress and stress management.

I am excited to report that I have teamed up with a development group to put my love and ideas together to help people relief stress with our very own stress relief app, Kopely. If I had to guess, I think this is how I am going to spend my next 10 years.
